Summer savory (Satureja hortensis) is a useful and easy to grow warm season annual herb, which reaches around 30cm in height and spread. It is used widely to season white meats such as pork and chicken, and as an ingredient in stews and sauces. It is described as being a suitable substitute for Sage.
